Description

The Ubiquiti airFiber AF60-LR is a long-range point-to-point wireless radio system designed for high-capacity outdoor backhaul links. It operates in the 60 GHz band and is built for enterprise, ISP, and building-to-building connectivity where fiber deployment is impractical or costly.

The AF60-LR delivers up to 2 Gbps aggregate throughput, making it suitable for bandwidth-intensive applications such as enterprise interconnects, surveillance networks, and high-performance wireless backhaul. Its integrated 43 dBi high-gain antenna enables long-distance links of up to 5 km depending on installation conditions, line of sight, and environmental factors.

A key advantage of this radio is its built-in 5 GHz backup radio. When weather conditions or interference affect 60 GHz performance, the system can automatically fail over to 5 GHz to help maintain link availability and network continuity.

The device is engineered for outdoor deployments with a rugged enclosure and integrated GPS synchronization support for better spectrum coordination in dense installations. It also uses 802.3af PoE for simplified installation, allowing both power and data to run through a single Ethernet cable.

The AF60-LR is widely used in WISP backhaul networks, campus interconnects, tower links, and building-to-building wireless bridges where low latency, high capacity, and stable long-range performance are required.
