Description

The D-Link DEM-311GT SFP SX Multi-Mode Fiber Transceiver is a high-performance Gigabit optical module designed for short-distance fiber connectivity in enterprise networks, ISP environments, and structured cabling systems. It provides reliable 1G data transmission over multi-mode fiber infrastructure, making it ideal for high-speed backbone and access layer connections.

This module operates on the 1000Base-SX standard using an 850nm wavelength VCSEL laser, delivering full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet performance at up to 1.25 Gbps. It supports transmission distances of up to 550 meters over OM2/OM3 multi-mode fiber, making it suitable for building-to-building links, campus networks, and server room interconnections.

It uses LC duplex connectors, ensuring compatibility with standard fiber patch panels, ODF systems, switches, and routers equipped with SFP ports. The hot-swappable design allows installation or replacement without powering down equipment, improving uptime and simplifying maintenance.

The DEM-311GT is compliant with IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet standards and operates on a low-power 3.3V system, making it efficient for continuous enterprise and ISP use. Its rugged metal housing improves durability and reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable long-term performance in network deployments.

This module is widely used in enterprise LAN backbones, CCTV fiber networks, data centers, and ISP distribution networks where stable and cost-effective multi-mode fiber connectivity is required.
